Senior Software Engineer – UX (Contract Position)

This Opportunity

Truveta aims to make complex healthcare insights accessible to a broad spectrum of users. To realize this goal, we are looking for creative and capable user interface experts to build modern web-based product surfaces.

As part of an integrated agile team, we are seeking UX software engineers who:

Will collaborate with other engineers, product designers and the company leadership to build annotation and normalization tools. Will implement complex features such as text highlighting, tagging, and categorization within large paragraphs to facilitate data labeling for machine learning. Collaborate with ML engineers to understand the data annotation needs and translate these into effective software solutions. Determine and apply the right building blocks, test harnesses and processes that pave the way for continuous evolution of the experience. Are willing to learn along with the rest of the company and its customers. Are customer obsessed, creating a world-class reputation for quality. Seek and respond to feedback from users and stakeholders. Have a willingness to commit to ongoing training on key topics like privacy, ethics, and security.

Key Qualifications

BS/MS degree in CS or related technical discipline or equivalent years of experience. 5+ years of professional development experience designing, coding and debugging. Web development experience using React and Typescript. We also use Mobx, Redux, Material UI on our web stack. Optimize application performance to handle a vast amount of data without compromising the user experience. Familiarity with building dashboards, forms and graphical visualization to generate insights from data. Familiarity with RESTful API design. Prior experience in developing tools for machine learning or data annotation as well as a passion for AI and its potential to transform industries. Experience with any of the modern public clouds, especially Azure is a plus.

We Offer:

Interesting and meaningful work for every career stage The hourly pay for this position is $63-$80 per hour. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
