Role Overview

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology (IT), the Manager of IT Solutions is a primary leader within the IT function tasked with overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of innovative technology solutions that help drive and support business objectives. The individual will have a customer-focused, collaborative approach when working closely with business stakeholders. The ability to balance technology needs to meet company objectives while maintaining existing systems and supporting the team is a must.

This role involves leveraging the company's strategic objectives to develop robust team-level goals, managing and mentoring a team of IT professionals, while ensuring the effective delivery of technology solutions. The Manager will utilize agile methodologies and project management best practices to ensure delivery of high-quality and reliable systems while making continuous improvements.

  • Manage a team that is responsible for delivering custom and out-of-the-box IT solutions, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Mentor team members, providing daily guidance and coaching to help advance their careers in conjunction with career development plans.
  • Conduct performance reviews celebrating employee successes while providing growth opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment while holding team members accountable for their actions and deliverables.
  • Obtain the necessary tools and training for team members to excel in their roles.
  • Leverage knowledge of company policies and practices to retain employees and enhance team performance.
  • Communicate the company goals and strategy to team members so they understand how their individual contributions tie to them.
  • Build team-level goals striving for successful completion through effective measurement and key results indicators.
  • Provide leadership with frequent updates, including successes and roadblocks that may need to be addressed or impact future deliverables.
  • Retain ownership of the IT Solutions team's budget ensuring it remains aligned with the company's overall financial goals.
  • Oversee system implementations, testing, and issue resolution in line with project management methodologies.
  • Evaluate and continuously improve current business processes, providing expertise on system applications.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of Identity Access Management and Governance (IAM/IAG) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) standards.
  • Keep abreast of new corporate IT technologies in the market that may help support the business without creating functional redundancies. Evaluate and assess potential impact to the organization as new technologies emerge and change.
  • Solicit business stakeholder feedback and ensure that the customer's input is heard while balancing their expectations in support of the team's capacity to build secure, pragmatic technical solutions.
  • Implement Agile methodologies for the team to drive results and ensure functionality delivery.
  • Liaise with technical/development professionals for required customizations, interfaces, and extensions.
  • Act as the team's primary point of contact for escalated issue (system/staff) resolution, resource capacity and quarterly planning.
  • Be a thought partner to team members on the development of comprehensive system/application documentation, including requirements, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide updates to cross-functional stakeholders on project status and developments ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage 3rd party IT vendor relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to SOX requirements related to access levels and controls.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4 years of managing an IT team with a minimum of 5 years of operating as a System Administrator and/or Solutions Engineer deploying Enterprise-wide solutions.
  • Strong technical aptitude with an understanding of business processes and how to apply IT solutions to company and department objectives. Must have a proven track record of improving business processes through the use of technology.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance on design, architecture, and maintenance of IT systems to team members.
  • Experience partnering and managing 3rd party vendors.
  • Proficient in understanding and working within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) incorporating Agile methodologies, change control, and ensuring high levels of quality.
  • Strong understanding of Atlassian products, terminology and previous oversight of the product suite.
  • Prior experience in Identity Access Management and Governance (IAM/IAG) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead large-scale initiatives, on time and budget.
  • Ability to prioritize and act effectively on changing priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and senior management.
  • Commitment to ethical and professional conduct, adhering to and enforcing company policies and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of functional goals with the ability to positively influence team efficiency.
  • Ability to develop and coach junior staff, fostering an inclusive work environment.
