Position Description

Veradigm is currently looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer who can utilize top coding practices to identify, document, develop, and support the Healthcare Risk Adjustment and New Product suite. In this role, you will be expected to handle support tasks and other additional responsibilities as needed. Superior technical skills, critical thinking, and strong interpersonal abilities are crucial for succeeding in this position.

What you will bring to the table

  • Be a significant contributor in an Agile environment, engaging in daily meetings, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.
  • Contribute to our expansion and cloud migration scalability strategies.
  • Create innovative healthcare technology products and services.
  • Enhance and refine our top-tier healthcare analytics algorithms.
  • Collaborate with team members to prioritize, design, test, deploy, troubleshoot, document, and support technology solutions using industry best practices and Veradigm-specific workflows.
  • Carry out various support tasks to aid production runs and other company projects as necessary.
  • Evaluate and transform business requirements into efficient, forward-thinking relational databases and procedures.
  • Show leadership by promoting a culture of continuous professional growth and mentoring team members.
  • Operate in a self-managed, independent setting handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, data integrity enhancement, and workflow improvements to ensure high client satisfaction and reduce technical debt.
The perfect candidate will possess

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with relational DBMS, SQL Server/T-SQL, stored procedures, functions.
  • Advanced expertise in MSSQL object creation and optimization.
  • Proficiency in backend SQL database development with large data sets.
  • Extensive background in database development.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining complex stored procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of optimizing database performance using T-SQL and PL/SQL for efficient data retrieval.
  • Experience with C# and .NET Core.
  • Proficient in Visual Studio, Git, and SSMS.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective interpersonal abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud-based development, Azure preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare, especially in Claims data, Risk adjustment, Medicare, Quality (5-Star, QRS, HEDIS), and Medicaid.
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and/or Jira.
  • Experience with Agile/SAFe Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with Amazon Workspace (AWS).
Travel Requirements
  • No significant travel obligations.
Working Arrangements
  • Typically Monday through Friday or as determined by project requirements.
