Summary

The Pooled Employer Plan Business Leader is accountable for the development and management of a Pooled Employer Plan (PEP) including appropriate governance committees, business operations, sales, client onboarding and client operations.

Role Priorities:

  • Creation of PEP teams: Identify necessary roles, prepare job descriptions, recruit (internally and externally as necessary), assure training occurs
  • Finalize plan design: Work with Retirement and Investment to make final decisions concerning plan design, including operational aspects of the PEP and investment approach; assure document drafting occurs
  • Market knowledge: Understanding the competitive marketplace
  • Create Client Advocacy Group: It will provide input and feedback to the Committees on the participating employer experience. It will also solicit opinions from participating employers on PEP decisions
  • Create necessary infrastructure
  • Operations management, P&L responsibilities: Development of plans and budgets, delivering planned performance
  • Revenue Growth responsibilities: Responsible for revenue growth through new client acquisition and retention. Responsible for sales strategy development and execution.
  • Participation in vendor selection and management: Final decisions on vendors will generally be the responsibility of fiduciary committees, but PEP leader is responsible for the execution of a process to select vendors; PEP leader needs to be responsible for successful vendor management
  • People management and development: Develop and execute on strategic staffing plans, including all people processes (e.g., recruiting, training and development, goal setting and performance management, employee satisfaction and compensation/bonus recommendations)
  • Client onboarding and satisfaction
  • Risk management: Identify and manage risks associated with the PEP in concert with governance structure and Retirement and Investments businesses
  • Ensure appropriate governance and work quality process are adopted on all work carried out
