Nerdy is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our growing FP&A team The FP&A organization at Nerdy is responsible for owning the financial budgeting and forecasting process. We also act as key business partners to enable and drive financially informed decision-making. As a Sr. Financial Analyst on the team, you will have the exciting opportunity to grow and develop as a finance professional through various responsibilities including forecast modeling, budgeting, analysis, management/board reporting, and data analytics. This role would be based out of our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri (Downtown Clayton).

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or related work experience.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, financial software).
Ability to thrive and effectively operate in a fast-paced, hands-on, collaborative environment.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

At Nerdy, our FP&A team is the foundation of our financial strategy, driving informed decision-making and enabling the realization of our commercial objectives. As a Senior Financial Analyst on the FP&A team, you will be responsible for delivering insightful analysis and developing models to support critical decisions.

In this role, you can expect to own the following areas:

Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, own and maintain financial budget models and operating models that directly support our operating teams.
Collaboration with Functional Leaders: Act as a key business partner to our leadership teams.
Weekly and Monthly Business Reviews: Lead regular evaluations of business performance, providing critical insights and recommendations to drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with our strategic goals.
Goal Setting: Develop and monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Variance Analysis: Prepare and present regular financial analysis, identifying key drivers of variances and recommending corrective actions as needed.
Month-End Reporting: Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including managerial reporting and analysis.
