Primarily responsible for managing the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) nationwide IT Network infrastructure projects in support of almost 38,000 BOP staff.

Prepares, implements, monitors, and updates the project plan, coordinates with the system's owner and upper level management to ensure the actions are consistent with the approved plans and oversees the design, testing, and implementation of the system.

Provides technical oversight and manages the development of capabilities, trains and develops IT Specialists and advises on the fundamentals and principles of network infrastructure hardware, software, architecture and integration.

Reviews and updates standards for the network infrastructure and identifies network maintenance procedures to include physical network infrastructure and WIFI components to ensure they are compliant with DOJ/BOP cyber security practices.

Plans, develops and implements network information assurance techniques, procedures and guidance to ensure user access control (personnel, software and information security) requirements are in place.
