Xpansiv provides the market infrastructure to rapidly scale the world's energy transition. The company's main business units include CBL, the largest spot exchange for environmental commodities, including carbon credits and renewable energy certificates; SRECTrade, one of the largest transaction and management firms in the solar renewable energy market, APX, the leading provider of registry infrastructure for energy, power, and environmental markets, and H2OX, a leading spot exchange for Australian water allocations. Xpansiv also provides end-of-day and historical market data and operates the leading multi-registry portfolio management system for environmental commodities.

APX, an Xpansiv Company, is seeking a results-oriented product manager to lead and design software for applications that support environment registries, carbon registries, and ESG reporting markets.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute initiatives for registry services which includes responsibilities such as scope facilitation, product specifications, and overall delivery to market.
  • Conceptualize and mature new software ideas into clear, actionable feature requests; this may require distilling a feature request into its underlying functionality in order to recommend the most fitting business and technical approach.
  • Collaborate as a leader with architecture and technical teams to structure priorities, allocate resources, communicate business concepts, and challenge implementation approaches as needed.
  • Document product specifications with highest degree of caliber, cataloging both functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Lead the engineering effort to market, from project inception and client-facing workshops through to status reports, UAT, and go-live efforts.
  • Evaluate the product portfolio from a software delivery perspective, with an emphasis on how to best sequence the pipeline.
  • Establish the success metrics of an initiative at project onset, relying on previous, proven work experiences and current-day research to garner consensus and alignment from cross- functional teams.
  • Maintain a general understanding or working knowledge of the IT systems and their connections
  • Champion agile methodology and other standards or tools to gain efficiencies in product specification, UI/UX design, and project management

Qualifications

  • Computer Science Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, Systems Administration, or related disciplines.
  • 5+ years as a product manager, preferably in a SaaS offering and/or the environmental, carbon, or ESG market spaces.
  • Proven track record of portfolio delivery, 2MM++
  • Experience using Azure or Jira for Agile projects.
  • Experience in environmental registries is a plus.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Experience in an IT role is a plus.
  • Certified in Agile is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of markup languages, HTML, CSS, SQL, and NoSQL is a plus.
