Are you an experienced tech risk manager or IT auditor? Do you enjoy evaluating new business initiatives, products, and services for opportunities to make them more reliable and resilient? Amazon, the world's most customer centric company, seeks a Risk Manager to support our global payments organization.

In this role, you will identify opportunities to improve our payment processes and controls to mitigate risk and improve financial and operational performance.

To achieve these objectives, you will be responsible for developing mechanisms to proactively identify and evaluate internal/external risks and for defining the technology, processes, and control improvements required to mitigate them.

You will support our payments business, operations, and technology teams to help them manage risks to their business, while influencing the broader risk culture across Amazon's global payments organization.

You will also engage with senior stakeholders across the company, including other specialized fraud, risk, compliance, and legal functions.

This position has a global scope and is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a dynamic and high paced environment.

  • Define and implement risk tracking and reporting for each business and contribute to aggregate risk reporting for the payments organization overall. Audit and analyze risk metrics for each business to identify emerging risks and monitor controls.
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews to the management team regarding emerging risks, status of risk assessments, and control performance.
  • Lead post-launch reviews to capture new risk scenarios; conduct deep dives on repeated errors to eliminate defects.
  • Serve as an advisor and subject matter expert on technology, operational, financial, and/or information risks and control mechanisms to prevent fraud, abuse, and other operational risks that negatively impact Amazon, our partners, and our customers.
