Your role:

· Partnering
with outside counsel to manage all aspects of employment and labor litigation
in the United States and Canada, including strategy, cost containment,
discovery / e-discovery, and communication with internal stakeholders.

· Responding to
EEOC or other agency charges.

· Ensuring
the Company is compliant with all relevant federal, state and local labor and
employment laws.

· Providing
advice and counsel to Human Resources, management, and other internal
stakeholders on the full range of labor and employment issues.

· Leveraging
legal and business knowledge to identify, analyze, evaluate, and monitor risk
exposure, and develop methodologies to define, manage and mitigate such risks
while considering operational impacts in the United States and Canada.

· Conducting
labor and employment law training programs.

· Drafting
documents including newsletters, training documents and settlement agreements.
Advising HR on and assisting with negotiating employment-related agreements.

· Reviewing
and revising internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance across all
jurisdictions.

· Participating
in due diligence regarding merger and acquisition projects.

· Performing
other duties as assigned or requested by leadership.

Your expertise:

· JD from an
ABA accredited school and an active license and membership in good standing in
at least one state.

· At least ten
years of experience as a dedicated labor and employment attorney. Prior experience at both a law firm and
in-house is preferred.

· Advanced
knowledge of all aspects of labor and employment laws and litigation management. Multi-jurisdictional and international
experience is preferred, especially experience with Canadian employment law.

· Experience
with traditional labor law is a plus.

· Experience
with eDiscovery processes and technologies is preferred.

.· Excellent
written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to
work well both in a team and independently.

· Outstanding
organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced,
demanding environment.

· Experience
with Microsoft office tools.
