Job Title: Sr. Government Contracts Counsel

At Saint-Gobain North America, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Government Contracts Counsel to join our team. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with government regulations and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance Program Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program that addresses government contracting regulations, including state/local and federal government contract compliance, grants and cooperative agreements, and export controls.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Independently monitor compliance requirements related to government contracting to ensure compliance with current regulatory regimes.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the Government Contracts Compliance team and oversee the implementation of the organization's Government Contracts Compliance program.
  • Guidance and Training: Provide guidance, advice, and training on applicable regulatory compliance matters and ethics and compliance matters, including cybersecurity regulations, export control regulations, and grants/cooperative agreement compliance.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks that the organization faces and advise on how to avoid or address them.
  • Regulatory Interactions: Interact with regulators on compliance issues and coordinate efforts related to audits, reviews, and examinations.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: 4-8+ years of leadership experience in a government contracts compliance function.
  • Legal Qualifications: J.D. and admitted to practice in at least one US state or Washington D.C.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Experience with implementation of compliance programs relating to federal and state/local government contracting and interacting with regulatory authorities, including programs for compliance with cybersecurity regulations, export control regulations, and grants/cooperative agreement regulations.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex regulatory information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
