As a Human Resources Specialist (Classification Recruitment and Placement), you will:

Serve as the technical expert and consultant to management on all personnel staffing matters with independent responsibility for resolving controversial, complex and very difficult types of problem staffing and position classification actions cases that require escalation beyond normal levels (e.g., pay-setting errors compounding over multiple personnel actions and involving multiple BEP organizations, the shared services provider, and or multiple pay systems).

Provide consultative services and technical advice to BEP managers in staffing, classification, pay and processing personnel action.
Interpret, analyze and prepare responses to new or proposed changes to legislation affecting staffing and classification.

Interpret, analyze, and prepare responses to new or proposed changes to complex legislative, regulatory, and policy guidance affecting staffing and classification.

Lead special projects and or studies of considerable scope and depth that impact the overall operation of the staffing, employment, classification and position management support functions.

Participate in work groups supporting Treasury initiatives or activities (i.e., Accountability Cadre, Certified Strategic Partners, department level system point of contact, ad-hoc workgroups) or other customer initiatives, as well as cross-governmental work groups (i.e., OPM-led qualification classification standard work groups, Multi-Agency Policy Advisory Council, etc.)
