The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:


• Will focus on the delivery of projects and will assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects comprising small- and large-scale water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projects with a focus on the delivery of projects by leading significant portions of a variety of facilities throughout the cycle of design, construction, and startup phases infrastructure projects and civil site development.

• Will have hands-on involvement in developing reports or technical memos, completing studies, detailed designs and specifications, collaborating to complete cost estimates, and preparing contract documents

• Participation in scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration for infrastructure projects is also part of the role, including involvement in business development and preparation of proposals

Key Responsibilities


• Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set by the project managers based off client needs

• Assist in the day-to-day process technical work and project execution

• Utilizes knowledge of regularly used civil concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the water engineering industry

• Prepare design reports to document the design process

• Applies knowledge to complex projects, find and develop non-standard design solutions to better serve clients project specifications


• Prepares a variety of moderately complex engineering deliverables. Performs complex research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection. Collects, assimilates, and manages data for engineering work. Prepares complex engineering calculations following standard methods and principles. Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Recognizes, defines and resolves problems within assigned area. May provide direction and guidance to others.

• Assigns tasks to and coordinates with other internal/external team members on less complex projects. Initiates contact with other disciplines as needed to identify and coordinate details of the work.

• Actively seeks to understand client interests and drivers through normal client contact and through interaction and communication with project leadership. Applies understanding of client interests and drivers to their own behavior and performance of the work under his/her responsibility. May provide support to business development or pursuit activities.

Preferred Qualifications


• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline

• Licensed PE or ability and interest to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration

• General understanding of water and wastewater design (i.e., Infrastructure, Conveyance, Pump Stations/Lift Stations)

• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Minimum Qualifications


• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing.

• Minimum of 3 years related work experience

• All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Certifications

Active Professional Engineer License or in active pursuit.

Hybrid Work Schedule (3 Days in Office/2 Days Remote)
