Job Summary

This position is responsible for the safe, environmentally compliant, and efficient operation of the Energy Storage facility. The facility is a 300 megawatt, 100 megawatt and 350 megawatt Battery Storage plant, utilizing over 360,000 lithium batteries, power inverter, air handlers, HVAC and High voltage switchyard equipment. This position will provide day to day Operation/maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repairs to the battery storage facility equipment.

Job Description

Position includes operating, evaluating, maintaining, and repairing (low, medium, high voltage) breakers, switch gear, switch yards, motor control centers, AC & DC circuitry, electrical disconnect, transformers, lighting panels, HVAC UPS, batteries, charger, inverters and VFD's.

Evaluate, maintain, and repair electrical equipment & controls, relay protection schemes, electrical monitoring equipment, various operating gauges, instruments, PLC's and alarms.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair plant electronic, pneumatic systems, analyzers, facility computers, process control equipment and instrumentation.

Perform trouble-shooting activities on all plant electrical equipment. Must be able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems in systems, read and interpret online diagrams, electrical protection scheme, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and vendor service manuals.

Participate in major maintenance projects, including equipment overhauls and removal and replacement of major units and parts. Inspects and monitors work of third-party contractors during major equipment repair or installation.

Salary ranges depending on experience between $42.26 to $57.35

Required Experience/Skills

4-6 years' experience as an Electrical, Instrument Tech, HAVC Tech, or telecommunications Tech or a 4 year degree in any of the associated fields.

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to frequently climb ladders; enter confined spaces; climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders, and walkways at elevations of 80 feet and more; wear respirator.

Perform other tasks as assigned.

May be assigned to 12 hour rotating shifts.

Must be able to work over time.

Must pass POSS/MASS aptitude test

This position can be filled at a level I, II, or III depending on experience level
