OVERVIEW

The SEO & Content Specialist is a leader in driving organic traffic and enhancing website visibility for our clients in the elective healthcare industry. As a detail-oriented and motivated professional, you will support the development and execution of SEO strategies, aiding in the achievement of our clients' online marketing objectives. You'll work closely with senior team members to implement essential ranking tactics, such as backlink acquisition, keyword optimization, and local SEO practices. Additionally, you'll assist in integrating SEO efforts with email marketing, social media, and landing page strategies.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • SEO Strategy:
  • Assist in the implementation of customized SEO strategies to meet client objectives.
  • Conduct basic competitor analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and competitive advantage.
  • Execute on-page and off-page optimization techniques to maximize impact.
  • Keyword Mastery:
  • Lead keyword research to identify high-volume, relevant terms aligned with client target audiences and search intent.
  • Drive website content optimization and metadata for targeted keywords.
  • Monitor keyword performance metrics to provide insight for strategic direction.
  • Local SEO Optimization:
  • Direct and implement local SEO best practices to ensure strong local visibility for brick-and-mortar elective healthcare businesses.
  • Optimize Google Business Profile listings and other local directories.
  • Build local citations and backlinks to enhance authority and ranking in local search results.
  • Backlink Building Prowess:
  • Develop and execute effective link building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from relevant websites and publications.
  • Participate in building relationships with industry influencers and bloggers to support strategic backlink efforts.
  • Work with leadership to continue to evolve Etna's link building products.
  • Content Strategy & Optimization:
  • Assist in directing the production of high-quality, engaging content that resonates with target audiences and addresses their search intent.
  • Collaborate with other teams (copywriters, designers) to produce high-impact content while maintaining readability.
  • Optimize content for search engines while maintaining readability and user experience.
  • Technical SEO Expertise:
  • Identify and address technical SEO issues that hinder website crawl-ability and search engine indexing.
  • Work closely with developers to optimize website code for search engine performance.
  • Monitor website health and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data-Driven Analysis:
  • Assist in generating comprehensive SEO reports, tracking keyword rankings, organic traffic, conversions, and other key performance indicators.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Identify and overcome challenges effectively, making informed decisions based on available data and strategic objectives.
  • Staying Ahead of the Curve:
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices.
  • Continuously learn and adapt to the evolving search engine landscape.
  • Share knowledge and insights with the team, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills:
  • Build strong relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients, fostering open communication and alignment.
  • Effectively communicate complex marketing concepts and tactical results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Provide support and guidance to colleagues and junior team members, fostering their learning and development.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Strong grasp of marketing principles, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Ability to generate innovative ideas and analyze data to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, platforms, and software.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
  • Ability to identify and resolve campaign issues, adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure products are executed flawlessly.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies.
  • Prepare comprehensive case studies and presentations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing or related field; In lieu of degree, 3 years relevant work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least 1 year experience working in a high-volume production environment or directly contributing to website projects
  • Previous background should include demonstrated ability to work closely with customers/clients
  • Knowledge of these specific software & tools required: Microsoft Office Suite, ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Business Profile, BrightLocal.

  • Knowledge and experience using Windows Operating System, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Web browsers, and extensive use of web sites.
  • Skill using search engines.
  • Knowledge of these specific software & tools a plus: Screaming Frog, Databox.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS (KPI)

  • Reoccurring
  • Ensures chargeability/utilization target of 72%.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • The ability to sit 4-8 hours per day in an office environment.
  • The ability to read a computer screen 4-8 hours per day.
  • The ability to use a computer keyboard 4-8 hours per day.
  • The ability to safely lift 0-5 pounds on occasion and/or a minute amount frequently.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Remote-first in applicable states as outlined in the Remote Work Policy
  • Full Time; 40 hours per week
  • Must be available during core office hours Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm PST
