About the Role

The Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our Hematology Division as part of our Sickle Cell Disease Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with sickle cell disease, including direct patient care, consultation, and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with sickle cell disease, including routine check-ups, crisis management, and coordination of care.
  • Consultation and Education: Offer expert consultation to healthcare providers and patients on sickle cell disease management, treatment options, and disease prevention.
  • Research and Academics: Participate in clinical trials, research studies, and academic activities related to sickle cell disease, including mentoring residents and fellows.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including hematology, transfusion medicine, and thrombosis services, to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Board Certification: Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in hematology or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent clinical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
