Position:
Join us as a hands-on Software Development Manager, where you'll spearhead our software development efforts, driving technical innovation and leading a skilled team of software developers to deliver cutting-edge solutions in support of our continuous growth.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to foster their professional growth and development.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and technical operations, to define project requirements, priorities, and deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize the software development process, enhance productivity, and streamline workflows.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify training and development opportunities for team members.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering, incorporating relevant insights into the team's work.
- Act as a technical advisor and resource for team members, offering guidance on complex technical challenges and promoting knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, software design principles, and architectural guidelines to maintain code quality, scalability, and maintainability.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the software engineering team, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
- Manage resource allocation, project prioritization, and staffing needs to effectively balance workload and achieve project goals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, demonstrating the ability to mentor and manage technical teams effectively.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with ASP.NET (C#/VB.NET, Web Forms, MVC, and Web Services), SQL Server development, JavaScript, Telerik UI, with a strong understanding of SOLID Principles and Design Patterns.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
- Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic environment and passion for staying updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Experience collaborating across departments and managing stakeholders to align IT initiatives with business objectives.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, orchestration technologies, automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and NetSuite are advantageous.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in project management or software development methodologies are beneficial.
