We are hiring a Senior Product Designer, Accessibility role to help us shape the digital landscape where Accessibility is not just a compliance requirement but a fundamental aspect of our commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

In this role you will...

  • You will collaborate with COE (Design systems, Product Design, QA Engineering) to play a pivotal role in ensuring our digital products and services are inclusive and accessible to users of all abilities.
  • Lead the design efforts to create intuitive, user-friendly experiences that comply with accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Be an Accessibility Advocate: Serve as a champion for accessibility within the design team and across the organization. Educate and advocate for the importance of accessibility in design decisions and processes.
  • Showcase Design Leadership: Lead the design process from concept to implementation, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to create accessible solutions that meet user needs and business goals.
  • Lead User Research and Testing: Conduct user research and usability testing with individuals of diverse abilities to gather insights and validate design solutions. Use findings to iteratively improve accessibility and usability.

  • Expertise in Accessibility Guidelines: Possess a deep understanding of accessibility guidelines and standards, including WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), and Section 508 compliance. Stay updated on evolving accessibility requirements and technologies.
  • Experience in Collaborative Problem Solving: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address accessibility challenges and find creative solutions. Provide guidance and support to colleagues to ensure accessibility considerations are integrated into all aspects of product development.
  • Experience with Screen readers, color contrast checkers, accessibility auditing tools, Figma design tools, Assistive technology emulators and training
  • Excel at Documentation, Process and Training: Document accessibility requirements, design patterns, and best practices for internal reference. Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their understanding of accessibility principles and techniques. Bring design review process using open sources Figma annotation libraries.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accessibility across our products and processes. Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for enhancement and implement strategies to address accessibility gaps.
  • Passion for Inclusive Design: Demonstrate a passion for inclusive design and a commitment to creating products that are usable and accessible to everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, articulating the importance of accessibility and advocating for inclusive design solutions.
  • Portfolio of Accessible Designs: Showcase a portfolio of projects demonstrating your experience in designing accessible user interfaces and experiences across web, mobile, and other digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment
  • Consideration for privacy and security obligations
