Job Description

The successful candidate will be in a dynamic, fast paced environment responsible for quantitative bioanalysis of small molecules, data analysis and interpretation, and documentation tasks for in vitro and in vivo samples.
Perform quantitative LC-MS/MS of small molecules from various bio-matrices in vitro and in vivo and to support ADME studies and PK/PD.
Contribute to scientifically informed decisions and operational improvements (assay/workflow optimization).
Support the troubleshooting of LC-MS/MS instrumentation issues and perform routine maintenance of LC-MS/MS equipment.
Independently conduct in vitro early ADME experiments utilizing automation platforms.
Work closely with multiple teams to support bioanalyses and automation projects.
Maintain excellent documentation of all work including electronic lab notebooks, test methods, and protocols.

Qualifications

For the Associate Scientist II role, we require a M.S. or a B.S. (with 3+ years experience) in analytical chemistry or related field.

Experience with quantitative bioanalysis of small molecules, especially in the context of fraction unbound, matrix stability, and PK studies
Ability to quickly troubleshoot LCMS method to improve sensitivity and/or separation
Experience operating and troubleshooting current LC-MS/MS platforms (Agilent HPLCs, Leap/CTC PAL and ADDA autosamplers, Sciex API-5500/6500 triple quad Mass Spectrometers) and software (e.g. Discovery Quant, Analyst, Electronic notebook) is highly preferred
Experience developing and validating automated sample preparation workflows
Knowledge of various analytical methods for small molecule quantification
Ability to work independently or under minimal supervision to design and conduct experiments, as well as interpret, document, and communicate results
Able to balance generating high-quality results within the limitations of a high throughput environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
