The Manager on Duty is in charge of overseeing the hotel's daily operations. This position is required to guarantee optimum guest relations concurrent with managing and supervising department staff members. The goal of the Manager on Duty is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages guests to return and to recommend our hotel property and brand to others.

Skills & Responsibilities
  • This position requires exemplary motivational, supervisory and customer service skills.
  • Manager on Duty must inspire staff to always put customers' needs first and consistently display a professional and friendly attitude.
  • Organizational skills are necessary to prioritize and delegate to maintain smooth daily operations.
  • Must have the ability to remain calm and maintain professional composure when communicating to guests and staff at all times.
  • Proficiency in conflict resolution is needed to resolve guest issues.
  • Providing the highest quality guest accommodations and services is the main responsibility of the Manager on Duty.
  • Supervising departmental personnel to work in all departments including front desk operations, food & beverage, housekeeping, and maintenance.


Daily Job Duties
  • Daily shift walk of the entire property including: all floors, restrooms, meeting space, stairwells, offices, back of house, and perimeter of the building and parking lot.
  • Reporting all maintenance issues to department staff to address and logging in MOD report.
  • Immediately addressing any security issues found on property.
  • Ensuring the property is well maintained and free from any safety hazards.
  • Consistently walking through all departments to ensure that all staff members are in proper uniform and present in work areas.
  • Providing assistance in departments as needed.
  • Accompanying and providing luggage assistance with all guest room moves.
  • Counting the MOD bank and distributing cash drawers.
  • 1st Responder to guest and employee incidents.
  • Responsible for issuing any service recovery needed with guests.
Must have valid drivers license
