Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to enter and maintain data within assigned database(s) and/or audit data entry information as assigned within a timely and accurate manner.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Enter and maintain data within assigned database(s) in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for the data entry of order information to include, but not limited to, pricing changes, new or changed items (description, size, order restrictions, dimensions, etc.), drayage rates and contract numbers.
  • Ensure accurate setup by distribution center, national accounts or military accounts and process export transmissions as appropriate.
  • Review incoming information for data entry and interact with vendors or internal departments (i.e., Category Management, Procurement, etc.) to verify information and ensure data accuracy requirements; ensure accurate entry into applicable systems.
  • Maintain and file documents for changes, new items, vendors, etc.
  • Communicate appropriate new/changed item data information to internal departments (i.e., Accounting, Procurement, Space Management, etc.) as necessary, and resolve issues in a timely manner (e.g., warehouse receiving and scanning accuracy issues, etc.)
  • Enter and maintain vendor information; set up new vendors as required.
  • Audit data entry information as assigned; update and/or work with appropriate personnel to update information as necessary.
  • Ensure required processes are followed and work with cross-functional departments to ensure SOX compliance (i.e., government contract numbers, drayage rates, national accounts, pricing, etc.).
  • May be responsible for database security access setup and maintenance.
  • May assist with military data reconciliation to balance shipped quantities per contract/location to support customer invoicing processes, as well as compile preliminary data to assist with the financial close reporting.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Here's what you'll need:

  • High School Diploma (Required) High School Diploma or GED required. College degree or college course work preferred.
  • One-year general office/administrative/data entry experience.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with internal associates and external vendors.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Prior retail or distribution center experience and familiarity with product codes preferred.
  • Must be able to learn and understand system workflows.
  • Basic mathematical skills and strong typing/10-key skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).

The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high in distribution settings. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
