Why This Role is Exciting

As a Senior Manager, HRIS System Administrator, you'll own the technical architecture of our core HCM and Payroll system (Workday) and its related modules that drive the end-to-end journey. You'll also work cross-functionally within HR and Finance to map processes and translate business requirements into scalable solutions. This role is a unique opportunity to define 'best-in-class' when it comes to the technical and business process aspects of HR and Payroll.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and maintenance of Workday to support HR, Payroll, and Benefits functions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from HR, Finance, and IT to gather system requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
  • Administer the Workday platform delivering on updates/changes to configuration, integrations for third-party applications, permissions, and reporting
  • Oversee the security and data integrity of the platform and its integrated applications to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company policies
  • Manage external consultants and partner with them to lead the implementation, testing, deployment, and technical documentation of strategic HCM and Payroll projects
  • Partner with the business to identify and recommend opportunities to enhance the efficiency of HR and Payroll processes using automation and insights from industry trends

Note: Although this role is fully remote, it will involve virtually supporting teams and external partners mainly located in either the Pacific or Mountain Standard time zones. With this, we highly prefer candidates who are located in these time zones.

Attributes for a Successful Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience with Workday HCM and related modules such as Payroll, Benefits, etc.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation business processes
  • Technical expertise in additional modules such as benefits, compensation, and performance
  • Strong understanding of HR and Payroll business process definitions to help drive technical solutions and reporting
  • Advanced knowledge of integrations for up/downstream systems within HR, Finance, IT, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large technical projects through requirement gathering, solution design, implementation, and hypercare
  • Ability to execute technical configurations leveraging SDLC concepts such as design, testing, QA, UAT, and deployment planning
  • Experience handling complex and confidential data
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks with scalability and efficiency top of mind
  • Eagerness to research and recommend new technologies or creative solutions that help drive productivity across the business
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Workday or related certifications a plus
  • Familiarly with Jira and agile methodologies a plus
