The Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center seeks a BC/BE pulmonary critical care medicine physician to join our growing, collegial, and multi-disciplinary team in Boise, ID focused on providing exceptional care to our veterans.

The pulmonary care team is currently comprised of seven physicians (Full-time and part-time) and four advanced practitioners.

You will find a very welcoming community, exceptional medical facilities, and a lifestyle that offers a perfect balance of culture and outdoor adventure.


Inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consultative services, bronchoscopy, other invasive procedure coverage and teaching of students and residents rotating through the VA, as well as APP supervision.

Position consists of approximately 40% ICU coverage, 40% clinic and 20% administrative, teaching and procedure time. Selected candidate will participate in expanding and developing EBUS program.

A wide variety of patients including those with chronic obstructive lung disease, interstitial lung disease, asthma, sarcoidosis, lung cancer, pulmonary hypertension and sleep disordered breathing are evaluated in the outpatient clinics.

Provider will be responsible for care of seriously ill//life-threatening/serious medical conditions/health issue in the ICU. Provider will participate in electronic consultations (e-consult) to improve access to pulmonary care. The position provides an outstanding opportunity for individuals committed to an academic career in clinical care, teaching and research.
