Virtualization Administrator

You will be part of a team that designs, manages, and supports all physical and virtual compute systems. This is a highly available, heterogeneous multi-OS environment containing 10,000+ virtual machines across multiple VMWare hypervisor virtual datacenters and Cisco UCS server platforms.

What you will do:

› Support data center infrastructure solutions hosted on VMWare virtualization, Cisco Unified Compute Systems (UCS), and other best of class hyper-converged systems.

› Deployment of Windows and Linux operating system images to physical and virtual server hardware.

› Capacity analysis, forecasting, and health appraisals for dynamic resource-sharing environments

› Support infrastructure components such as power, KVM, and data center structured cabling management

› Implement and manage vCloud Enterprise software suite and components

› Work collaboratively with Application and Developmental teams to build and support appropriately sized virtual machine solutions.

› Performance analysis of the vSphere enterprise using vRops, identify performance constraints, recommend and implement optimization solutions.

› Work with various internal teams for scheduling, planning, and execution of software releases, new products and ongoing testing.

› Participate in Disaster Recovery design, planning, testing and execution.

› Manage component upgrade projects to ensure lifecycle management and compatibility

› Provide support for the hosting platforms located across SEI remote offices including Dublin Ireland, London England, and Toronto Canada.

What we need from you:

› BS/BA in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience

› Minimum of 5 years related industry experience required; financial services experience preferred

› Experience using VMWare component versions of vSphere including - ESX(i) (v6x and above), vCenter, SSO, SRM, vRA, and vRops.

› Understanding of Backup and DR solutions including EMC Data Domain and Veeam products, VMware Site Recovery Manager, EMC array level replication solutions.

› Case Management across multiple vendor partner processes when troubleshooting and obtaining support

› Participate in an on-call rotation as part of a leveraged team
