Position Type: Full Time, 37.5 hours
Caseload: High School
Pay range: $32 - 39/hr
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct healthcare services to students, including first aid, administering medications, and managing chronic health conditions.
- Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
- Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting preferred).
- Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
