About the Role:
As our Commercial Title Examiner, you'll dive deep into the fascinating world of property titles, uncovering the legal intricacies of commercial and industrial real estate. This isn't just about paperwork - it's about being a detective, analyst, and problem-solver all rolled into one
What You'll Do:
* Embark on title examination adventures, from simple parcels to complex commercial properties
* Analyze a wide array of records, including mortgages, leases, liens, and more
* Play detective to resolve missing or contradictory information in title documentation
* Craft accurate title commitments and reports that stand up to scrutiny
* Leverage your expertise to provide underwriting interpretations
* Utilize cutting-edge online research tools to stay ahead of the game
What You'll Bring:
* 3-5+ years of Michigan Commercial Title Examiner experience (this is crucial)
* A superhuman ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* An eagle eye for detail and a passion for quality
* Sherlock Holmes-level analytical and problem-solving skills
* Top-notch communication skills - you'll be collaborating with a global team
* Proficiency in MS Office and industry-specific software (Adobe Acrobat, DataTree & Trace, etc.)
* A dedicated home office space with high-speed internet for our secure VPN
* Flexibility to work overtime when needed (it's rare, but it happens)
