Our mission is to be the TV streaming platform that connects the entire TV ecosystem. We connect consumers to the content they love, enable content publishers to build and monetize large audiences, and provide advertisers unique capabilities to engage consumers.

We're looking for a People Operations Specialist (HR Operations Specialist) to join us in our Boston, MA or Austin, TX office, and join our team as we scale and improve programs for our current employees as well as develop new programs for our rapid business growth globally. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have extensive global experience in HR Operations and Benefits Administration. Reporting to the Manager, People Operations, this is a 'hands-on' position that requires strong attention to detail, project coordination, and skills to support our global processes as well as global expansion projects.

About the Role

In this role, the ideal candidate will support the benefits administration of Leave of Absence programs, be responsible for the timely completion and reporting of benefits compliance processes, as well as supporting general HR actions. The candidate will serve as an escalation point collaborating with cross-functional partners across other Centers of Excellence (COEs) and vendors to support employee needs.

You will need to have an operational and global mindset. You should be a gritty problem solver and self-starter who can drive programs and operational support with little to no guidance. The successful candidate will display a balance of hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs.

What you'll be doing

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the company's Leave of Absence programs across multiple countries. Perform periodic audits on data integration between LOA brokers and the company's HRIS, as well as support employees' inquiries regarding LOAs.

  • Support and process requests for 401(k) Loans, ROEs, and QNECs.
  • Support and process General HR requests such as Employment Letters, requests for HRIS reports, as well as basic employee inquiries.
  • Ensure Workday system updates are complete for any employment lifecycle changes; inform key partners in the business processes.
  • Review, audit, correct, and report employment data through different external vendor and government tools ensuring the accuracy of integration of employee data.
  • Participate and support numerous UATs to improve, operationalize, and scale assigned support programs.
  • Support the creation and publishing of internal process documents, training materials, and employee-facing KB articles of assigned support processes and programs.
  • Seek opportunities to leverage technology to minimize data errors and unscalable manual processes. Proactively identify areas of improvement, risks, and concerns across assigned processes and programs.

We're excited if you have

  • Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in Benefits Administration or HR Operations
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal), organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in English a must; other languages a plus, i.e. Dutch, German, Danish, Portuguese

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving business environment
  • Perform well under pressure, multi-task, work independently and as a part of a team
  • Flexible and able to quickly change course when the needs of the business and our team
  • shift direction or accelerate delivery
  • You love to help shape dynamic and scalable processes

Benefits

Roku is committed to offering a diverse range of benefits as part of our compensation package to support our employees and their families. Our comprehensive benefits include global access to mental health and financial wellness support and resources. Local benefits include statutory and voluntary benefits which may include healthcare (medical, dental, and vision), life, accident, disability, commuter, and retirement options (401(k)/pension). Our employees can take time off work for vacation and other personal reasons to balance their evolving work and life needs. It's important to note that not every benefit is available in all locations or for every role. For details specific to your location, please consult with your recruiter.

The Roku Culture

Roku is a great place for people who want to work in a fast-paced environment where everyone is focused on the company's success rather than their own. We try to surround ourselves with people who are great at their jobs, who are easy to work with, and who keep their egos in check. We appreciate a sense of humor. We believe a fewer number of very talented folks can do more for less cost than a larger number of less talented teams. We're independent thinkers with big ideas who act boldly, move fast and accomplish extraordinary things through collaboration and trust. In short, at Roku you'll be part of a company that's changing how the world watches TV.

We have a unique culture that we are proud of. We think of ourselves primarily as problem-solvers, which itself is a two-part idea. We come up with the solution, but the solution isn't real until it is built and delivered to the customer. That penchant for action gives us a pragmatic approach to innovation, one that has served us well since 2002.
