Who we are looking for

Looking for a hands-on manager who will be able to support middle office / post-trade functions for a major asset manager client. Expertise is required specifically in reconciliations and strong knowledge of the following functional areas: trade management/settlements, corporate actions, accounting, income, taxation, and static reference data. Product expertise is expected in securities [equities / fixed income], derivatives, and FX. The ideal candidate will address both daily production issues as well as internal/external escalated items in a time-sensitive manner, interfacing daily with client and external custodians/accounting agents. Along with supporting IT and Business projects which cultivate new/existing workflows and operations infrastructure. The candidate will also provide leadership of a diverse group of professionals across multiple global locations.

What you will be responsible for

As Unit Manager, Vice President you will

  • Lead a team as subject matter expert in reconciliation process. Drive value-added process of researching and resolving with 3rd party's reconcilement differences
  • Coordinate across internal teams to drive remediation on the State Street controllable exceptions including senior functional leaders
  • Manage the specific functions within your area of expertise including research, exception resolution, reporting, and query management
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with market counterparties, including banks and accounting agents. Proactively work to prevent and resolve issues
  • Drive team to meet client expectations and risk mitigation standards as measured by critical Key Performance Indicators
  • Respond to client escalations across all reconciliation-related queries with the ability to interface with senior client leadership to articulate and resolve issues
  • Monitor work queues and ensure critical deliverables are met on time and with quality
  • Cultivate and develop both associates and the direct management team
  • Lead IT projects associated with enhancing existing workflows and creating new workflows supporting new financial products

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree requested
  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience
