MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform all aspects of purchasing and inventory control
  • Work with Project Managers and Project Administrators to determine inventory needs
  • Identify appropriate supplier, considering product availability, quality, and pricing
  • Issue purchase orders, create invoices, verify pricing
  • Maintain the online database with daily inventory updates
  • Resolve issues related to product quality, pricing, delivery, RMA, utilization, and loss
  • Perform inventory counts: cycle, spot and month end reconciliation and research variances
  • Inform management of new products that may be more efficient or cost effective
  • Audit inventory and prepare monthly/quarterly/annual inventory reports
  • Work with warehouse to manage material return
  • Work with suppliers to maintain updated pricing, SKU, material ID, availability, and lead time data for products
  • Work with accounting team to verify purchases and expenses are properly allocated
  • May require in-town travel to distributors and project sites

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in purchasing and inventory control
  • Proficient in database management, reporting and analysis
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and exercise independent judgement
  • Must be detail oriented
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
  • High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks
  • Low-voltage, electrical, construction, or similar trade experience preferred
  • Must have a good driving record
