Major responsibilities for a Country Coordinator may include:
- Support and guide families with country-specific documentation, education and travel preparation;
- Prepare and present child referrals to families;
- Direct families through the immigration petition process;
- Serve as liaison between international contacts, agency and U.S. immigration officials;
- Oversee receipt and routing of post-placement reports;
- Manage client records to meet state/federal/international/licensing requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Global Studies, International Relations, Social Work, or related field;
- 1-3 years relevant international experience (study, travel, work or language skills) preferred;
- Must have strong organizational skills including ability to case manage and keep documentation up to date;
- Ability to communicate well using verbal and written methods;
- Ability to utilize independent judgment and discretion to resolve complex matters;
- Valid drivers' license preferred, including insurance, a reliable vehicle and insurability under agency policy;
- Ability to work with and advocate for all clients served, regardless of race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or family type.
