JOB SUMMARY

Oversees day to day application development projects and engineering while leading continuous improvement on process definition and compliance. Directly manages software engineers and project managers. Functions as a technical and solution architecture expert. Responsible for defining and creating scalable/secure system solutions to deliver real world capabilities within a rapidly evolving Loyalty platform. Delivers on commitments to discipline partners and collaborates with architects, SMEs on cross functional initiatives for Loyalty. Functions as the technical decision-maker and problem solver to deliver projects on time and on budget. Promotes project quality and manages the application development team to promote satisfaction with all technology teams and business partners by following standard application development tools and processes. Manages continuous improvement program to improve quality, consistency, and client satisfaction.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required:

  • 10+ years' experience in developing software solutions across multiple technologies and methodologies
  • 10+ years' experience with application development tools
  • 4+ years' experience in architecture solution development for complex/enterprise level systems
  • 4-year degree or equivalent experience/certification
  • Self-driven, curious and a fast-learner, and able to work in a fast-paced environment launching new consumer products to market
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate between technical and business teams
  • Management of multiple Omni-Channel development efforts integrating with multiple Back End systems
  • Experience with Automation, CI/CD, Release Management processes and Application Deployments to Cloud.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Strong understanding of API platforms, Back End services, database and networking components of full stack infrastructure
  • Working in a Product-based model and building strong partnerships with Product owners by providing innovative technology solutions to complex business problems
  • Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to both Product owners in a business-friendly manner and to Enterprise Architects in most technical detail
  • Management of cross functional, sourced, or matrixed teams
  • Undergraduate/graduate degree or equivalent education + experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in easy-to-understand business terms
  • 4+ years of Experience with API management with Akana and microservices using Spring Boot/Web flux
  • 4+ years of IT operations experience in handling large scale mission-critical applications and systems
  • 4+ years of experience in Change data capture tools such as Qlik, IBM IIDR
  • 4+ years of experience in Mainframe & DB2 as well as cloud native databases such as RDS/Arora PostgreSQL

  • Provides deep expertise in defining the architectural and technical software solutions to deliver critical capabilities in an enterprise platform.

Managing Day-To-Day Relationships with Teams
