JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the Internal Control
elements and audit duties for the bank including financial, safety and
soundness and operational audits in accordance with accepted
professional standards and state and federal regulations

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\
Responsible for the entire audit function of the bank.\
Prepares and administers the department budget.\
Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make
recommendations for changes as necessary\
Review monthly reconciliations of various general ledger and deposit
accounts\
Perform all bank required audit and reviews for internal control on a
monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis and maintain proper work
papers.\
Prepare Annual Audit Schedule\
Perform all audits as assigned\
Assign the monthly teller surprise cash counts\
Prepare, submit and present required Audit Reports to the monthly Board
of Directors meeting\
Oversee external audits as they are performed as well as perform due
diligence in the engagement of such audits.\
Provide assistance to external auditors as requested\
Facilitate training as necessary.\
Prepare quarterly Audit Committee packet, including agenda\
Take minutes and attendance at Audit Committee meetings\
Track and follow up on previous exceptions\
Track and follow up on audit recommendations\
Stay current with state and federal rules and regulations\
Maintain an electronic file of written procedures for the duties and
functions of the position\
Keep up with record retention for the position\
Provide support to other department staff including filling in during
their absences\
Must be able to meet attendance and punctuality standards\
Effectively work and cooperate with supervisors, co-workers and
customers\
Submit the annual Unclaimed Property report to the state\
Serve as a member of Audit/Internal Control, Technology, Risk
Management, Security & Facilities and Incident Response Committees.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:\
Perform other duties and projects as required by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:\
College degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other
related field or previous banking experience required.\
Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.\
Dependable, trustworthy and willing to work as a member of a team while
producing thorough and accurate work.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:\
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.\
Good follow through on projects and deliverables.\
Good analytical skills.\
Good problem-solving skills.\
Ability to perform basic arithmetic, as well as compute figures such as
rate, ratio, and percent.\
Ability to follow written and oral instruction\
Ability to create charts and graphs using computer software.\
Ability to interpret policy manuals and government banking regulations.\
Ability to type 45 words per minute.\
Ability to use 10-key adding machine by touch.\
Strong proficiency in PC applications, including MS Word and Excel.\
Strong verbal and written communication skills.\
Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well with a wide range of
people including all levels of management.\
Strong organizational and time management skills.\
Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to
timelines and schedules.\
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to logically reason

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\
This work is primarily sedentary and requires the following physical
activities:\
Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting,
kneeling stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent
repetitive motions; talking, hearing, and visual acuity.\
Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office
equipment).\
Driving to client locations and other sites as needed.
