DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

JOB CLASSIFICATION: Regular, Full-time

REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

SUPERVISES: None

LOCATION: Central Administration Office, 101 South Padre Island Dr. Corpus Christi, TX

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for aiding in the multiple facets of Human Resources. Responsibilities will include employee relations, benefits, timekeeping/payroll, recruiting, FMLA, training, policies, reporting, and other related Human Resources duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Maintains a high level of confidentiality on all personnel information

Administers employee benefits programs such as retirement plans, health, dental, vision, life insurance, voluntary benefits, and perks. Coordinates COBRA administration.

Coordinates and Administers Annual Open Enrollment and continued education on benefits, including presentations and wellness event planning.

Maintains benefit records, assists employees with benefit inquiries, enrollment, changes, prepares and makes adjustments on benefits as necessary; ensures accuracy and compliance of all benefit regulations.

Corresponds with benefits and fridge broker/vendor to ensure smooth transitions and resolve issues.

Review, Analyze, and verify bi-weekly timesheets timely for payroll; includes analysis and verification of time, salary, work location, Holiday pay, OT, AL, SL, LOA, and FMLA.

Ensure and maintain proper timekeeping records are in compliance with all agency, local, state, and federal policies and regulations.

Collaborate with Fiscal and other departments to resolve timesheet inquiries or discrepancies.

Identify, Administer and participate in personnel recruitment or hiring activities.

Maintain accurate data in the HRIS system and manual filing system; including personnel data; reporting. Responsible for applying forward-looking strategies, practices, and procedures with measurable indicators.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer that benefits the Agency.
