POSITION SUMMARYREVELXP is currently looking for a passionate individual to work with our accounting/finance team to execute daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes. As the Senior Accountant, you will report to and support the Accounting Manager and VP of Accounting in building out and executing the accounting processes for our company. The successful candidate will have technical accounting expertise, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be passionate about sports
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPrimary duties to include, but not limited to the following:
  • Maintain general ledger through posting of journal entries and performing monthly account reconciliations
  • Support month-end close process and internal management reporting of financial results.
  • Assist in revenue recognition through calculation and posting of monthly journal entries and maintenance of deferred revenue schedules
  • Monitor capital expenditure and fixed asset accounting, including asset classifications and categorizations, asset disposals, and depreciation calculations.
  • Assist with external audit and tax compliance engagements
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status to the Accounting Manager and VP of Accounting
  • Ensure strong documentation of work performed to ensure reconciliations are accurate, easy to follow, and are supported with proper details
  • Assist in review and reconciliation of partnership royalties and revenue share accruals
  • Manage lease accounting software and ensure compliance with ASC 842
  • Support the development of and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT CANDIDATE?
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, with strong understanding and working knowledge of GAAP
  • Minimum (3) years accounting experience, preferably in public accounting and/or full-cycle general ledger accounting environment
  • Direct experience recording transactions and making adjusting entries
  • NetSuite experience is a plus
  • Problem solving and process improvement skills
  • Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical finance and operational initiatives.
