Business Development Manager, Sorting

Hydro Aluminium Metal a leading supplier of extrusion ingots, sheet ingots, foundry alloys, wire rods and high-purity aluminum with a global production network of around 5,000 employees. With primary metal production facilities in Europe, Canada, Australia, Brazil and Qatar, and recycling facilities throughout Europe and in the U.S., two-thirds of our primary aluminum production is based on renewable energy.
Job Location: Rosemont, ILEssential Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify new recycling growth opportunities in the value chain, focusing on scrap sourcing and sorting positions upstream of the cast house operations.
- Mature selected projects and execute in close collaboration with the recycling management and commercial teams.
- Identify potential acquisition targets, perform valuation analysis, and participate in teams to pursue acquisition opportunities.
- Perform profitability analysis of recycling investment proposals.
- Identify and evaluate new opportunities outside the current core positions.
- Work with project teams to execute recycling projects, acting as project manager.
- Strategic and commercial mindset; ability to move projects from analysis to implementation.
- Competence in applying quantitative and analytical methods to business opportunities.
- Financial acumen and affinity for market trends and opportunities.
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, knowledge of PowerBI and SAP is desirable.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to align stakeholders to a common goal.
- Ability to work independently and manage internal and external resources to deliver projects.
- Familiarity with matrix organizations and international business operations are both desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics or science is required, Master's degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in business development, management consulting.
- Knowledge of the aluminum or metals industry is desirable.
