About the Role:
The transportation industry has no shortage of complex problems requiring creative solutions to scale efficiently. In this role, you will own the relationship between Third Party Integrations (3PI's) and Mastery's Transportation Management System (TMS) supporting our shared clients.
The Sr Manager of Vendor Management will build vendor relationships quickly. Establishing trust in our product integration, leveraging industry knowledge and making recommendations in the client's best interest. You must take pride in forming and maintaining these relationships, connecting our product roadmap to these integrations to develop a long-term plan to benefit our shared clients.
As a Vendor Manager, you will be the internal and external escalation point and conduit between our Product department, Client Engagement, Engineering, and our External Partners. You will track active and upcoming integration development and testing activities. Collaborating with internal and external cross-functional teams to reach the end goal of an operational connection between Mastery, 3PI's and our clients. Product and Industry knowledge is key as you generate excitement for new or developing features. Facilitating demos and testing to keep implementations and client goals on-track or in troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:

  • Maintain reporting and broad visibility of all 3PI (Third Party Integrations) initiative statuses.
  • Generate and preserve foundational relationships with 3PI partners through ongoing, authentic connections and certification program management.
  • Own our internal 3PI roadmap, collaborating with Product domain partners on long term vision, new and existing client needs, and new marketplace offerings.
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot configuration issues that arise during client implementations. Act as a first line of defense before engaging configuration engineers.
  • Advocate for the best interest of the team to ensure timelines are realistic and deadlines are met.
  • Document and validate test scripts that require very specific actions to be taken along with the specific expected outcomes to be utilized in Integrations testing.
  • Partner with the Mastery Product team to understand scope of new functionality that is being developed, and changes to existing functionality.
  • Drive toward finding Root Cause of potential issues that might be considered bugs, escalating internally and externally based on priority and severity.
  • Execute manual tests in client test environments to validate functionality as intended.
  • Become an advisor to vendors on internal integration processes and best practices.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of SaaS industry experience
  • Project Management experience, with certification an added plus.
  • Prior experience managing vendor relationships and delivering shared value.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Exemplary organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong understanding of Product development and/or software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Logistics/Transportation Industry experience is preferred.
  • Technical expertise with software integrations and APIs a plus
