Job Description:

We are seeking an Accountant III for a very important client.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Perform monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysis
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and recommend necessary adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with U.S GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy, approval authority matrix and standard operating procedure
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Exercise sound data stewardship following data policies (retention, privacy, security) and detailing procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement and use systems to increase controls and efficiencies
  • Ensure effective data security and controls within ERP, financial systems, and data flows
  • Other ad hoc requests as necessary
Requirement:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

KEYS TO SUCCESS:

EDUCATION

  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting (required)

EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in a highvolume accounting environment (AR & AP emphasis a plus) within a matrixed organization.
  • Working knowledge of ERPs required, specific experience with Oracle R12 preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)
  • Excellent understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
  • Excellent attention to detail, as accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role
  • Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, computer, and organization skills
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills
