As an Innovation Commercialization Manager, you'll:
- Be responsible for working with cross- functional stakeholders to analyze the market needs and gather user feedback to inform new commercialization opportunities.
- Be responsible for creating commercial vetting processes and applying these to ideas and innovation from a variety of stakeholders; work closely with the technical development team, marketing and customer engagement teams to articulate the product value
- Describe value proposition, product information, and market trends to faculty, marketing and sales teams, and provide technical review of externally-facing materials
- Use critical questioning to evaluate new commercial ideas and make decisions in support of a product roadmap or portfolio strategy.
- Lead advisor on direction and alignment of innovation or product within the competitive landscape, market trends, pricing and purchasing trends, and emerging trends in healthcare technology.
- Evaluate application of the product features and competitive landscape to create, maintain and communicate product value proposition
- Manage product budget, related development expenses, and product-specific faculty and vendor relationships as part of collaborative innovation process
- Lead commercial vetting process to apply criteria to new innovation to make prioritized investment decisions
- Advise other team members on vetting innovation with the mindset of executing on the growth of broader product portfolio strategy, based on market need and customer demand
- Work with software developers and UX designers to vet product technical viability; conduct user testing and serve as an expert reviewer of documentation from other product team members
- Lead discussions with customer facing and marketing teams to communicate and explain the value of product features to the user experience
- Lead faculty relationships in support of product development, preferably with experience in an academic environment, including experience of guiding faculty through internal disclosure and licensing processes of intellectual property.
- Proactively identify new faculty innovation and commercial collaborations to disseminate best in class healthcare expertise to market
What you'll bring:
- 5+ years' directly related experience managing, licensing or developing healthcare software products. 3+ years' directly working as part of a technology commercialization team or product management and development team with demonstrated experience working as part of an Agile environment required.
- Expert knowledge of the product development lifecycle and working in an Agile framework required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, health care, information technology or a related field
