The Position
As a member of the Advanced Analytics & Innovation team, collaborates with team members and other CI&A departments to deliver advanced data and analytics solutions to NNI Commercial Stakeholders, to the benefit of patients, prescribers and other stakeholders. Works across the CI&A organization, with stakeholders across the broader NNI organization and applicable consultants and partners, to implement advanced data and analytics solutions to critical business questions. Applies statistical and machine learning methods to deliver solutions leveraging internal and syndicated commercial datasets such as Xponent Plantrak, LAAD, Experian, Veeva, ICM and other. Collaborates with Novo Nordisk commercial functions to help measure and optimize promotional investments, inclusive of marketing mix, test & control, and promotional targeting related initiatives.
Relationships
Member of the Commercial Advanced Analytics & Innovation team within Commercial Insights & Analytics department, reporting to a Director-level manager (depending on specific assignment).
Internal relationships include directors and members of other CI&A teams, Commercial Operations, IT, Marketing brand leads, extended brand teams and other Marketing stakeholders, as well as other Finance & Operations stakeholders (Finance, PCOR, etc.). External relationships include secondary data vendors and consultants.
Senior-level (VP and higher) exposure through presentations on Marketing Mix and related topics.
Essential Functions
Collaborates with AA&I team members, other CI&A and/or F&O colleagues, and/or LoB stakeholders to define advanced analytics/ML opportunities, determine appropriate datasets and algorithms, identify patterns and formulate solutions, experiment and deliver analytics and modelsCollaborate with internal and/or external resources (i.e., consultants and partner) to define and deliver innovative data and analytics solutions and services in response to business requirements and priorities. Areas of focus will include, but not be limited to: promotional impact analytics (incl. test vs. control, A/B testing, test-and-learn methodologies), patient analytics, HCP analytics, and related topics in support of our commercial and enabling functionsIn collaboration with AA&I colleagues, IT, and external resources, support the development of infrastructure to support promotional impact assessment. This includes development of more predictive/efficient modelling techniques, establishment of reusable data pipelines, building out of reusable code repository, and establishment of dashboard/PPT-based reporting infrastructureProvide support for marketing investment/mix projects, inclusive of NN stakeholder engagement, collaboration with IT on data processing, project management support, data trend QC, development and delivery of presentations, etc.Explores and evaluates new data driven approaches to generating insights and solutions to address business issuesWorks with other CI&A team members, IT, and data engineers to acquire and transform datasets (e.g., NPP, LAAD) that deliver critical business insights. Defines and creates metrics that can be leveraged by CI&A analysts to deliver insights to their stakeholdersApplies skill in data science and statistical analysis in support of organization-wide projects and programsProvides guidance and QC oversight to more junior team members, and colleagues in other CI&A areas in use and delivery of analytics and analytical tools Physical Requirements Up to 10% overnight travel required. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field required; MS or MBA preferredThree (3) years relevant experience in ROI analytics, business analysis, sales analysis, forecasting, quantitative finance, data science or other related areas. Appropriate advanced educational background may be substituted for some experienceRequired experience includes: Proficient in two or more programming tools such as Python, R, SQL, Stata, etc., and demonstrated ability to learn new analytical and programming techniques Demonstrated experience analyzing and managing large, structured/unstructured datasets to generate insights is essential; experience with IQVIA datasets and other industry sources preferredExperience with leading visualization tools, platforms, and capabilities highly desirable – e.g., Dataiku, Snowflake, Tableau, Qlilksense, etc.Strong written and verbal communications skills; Willingness to develop written/verbal/presentation skills requiredAbility to solve complex, unstructured problems with minimal supervisionAdvanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
