Dentons US LLP is currently recruiting for a Legal Secretary, Litigation for our Honolulu office. This position will provide litigation and administrative support to as many as three to four lawyers in a highly collaborative, fast-paced working environment. Very strong litigation skills are a must. This is a hybrid position, three days in office, two days remote.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for litigation and administrative tasks including, but not limited to, court filings (state and federal), including e-filings, document creation, editing and preparation, filing, time entry, expense reimbursement processing, telephone calls, travel arrangements, calendar maintenance and mailing distributions.
• Must be familiar with local court rules.

• Maintain lawyers' contacts lists in Outlook.

• Client contact in person and over the phone.

• Handles administrative confidential/sensitive firm and/or client information.


• These duties may be ongoing or ad hoc in nature.


• Other duties may be assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

Qualifications


• Minimum of 5+ years of recent litigation secretarial experience in a mid- to large-size law firm.

• College degree is a plus.

• Must be familiar with local court rules.


• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, work independently and multi-task.

• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.

• Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.

• Advanced knowledge of MS Word and Outlook; must exhibit strong typing skills and ability to learn and quickly become proficient in new computer software programs.

• Knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

• Ability to prioritize and handle ever-changing priorities.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, be a team player and be committed to providing a high level of client service.

• Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication and solid organizational skills.

• Candidates should also be detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, have the ability to prioritize incoming/outgoing tasks and work effectively independently and within a team.

• Flexibility for overtime and shift changes.
