If you are located in Minnetonka, MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely*, as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. If you are located outside of Minnetonka, MN, you will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for analysis and fluctuation research for California market with annualized revenues of $4.6B and members of 22.7M
  • Responsible for understanding modified minimum premium agreement of $84M annually (Calpers, VEBA, etc.) including working with Underwriting and Claims Team during GAAP close to capture changes from prior periods, update accruals for contractual changes and ensuring Regulatory Finance
  • has the data to complete their associated STAT and MLR entries
  • Responsible for assigned team task related to BRMS tieout, USP testing, USP disconnect and nonUSP DDD review
  • Maintains and enhances processes to ensure accuracy and minimize risk to financial statement reporting while reconciling, analyzing and reviewing financial transactions in preparation of month end close
  • Develops and maintains internal control processes and standard operating procedures for RFT

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
  • 1+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field
  • Demonstrated basic level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Access
  • Proven solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial statements
  • Ability to communicate in an effective manner
  • Ability to collaborate with peers to complete projects
  • Ability to demonstrate the drive and motivation to deliver high quality results based on thorough analysis
  • Ability to possess sound business knowledge and solid decision making skills

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
