The Role: Join us as the Business Development Manager specializing in Parking Safety. This role, which can be performed remotely, involves reporting to the VP of Sales for the Motion Safety division. As the spearhead of Parking Safety development, you will be instrumental in driving our ambitious customer growth and acquisition targets. Embrace the challenge of daily calls and emails, collaborating with channel partners, sparking interest, qualifying leads, and sealing deals from a distance. Moreover, be prepared for occasional travel to engage with key clients or partners, participate in significant industry events, or gain valuable insights.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Initiate relationships with new customers
  • Lead outbound sales endeavors targeting specific clients
  • Enhance the effectiveness of current and new outbound sales strategies
  • Pursue promising leads and tailor quotes, identifying suitable distributors for potential partnerships
  • Discover fresh sales opportunities through following up on inbound leads and making outbound calls and emails
  • Direct qualified leads towards progression and closure
  • Support the external sales team by overseeing and following up on established deals
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, leveraging relevant value propositions
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Independent Reps for on-site sales support and training
  • Engage with Marketing, Product Management, and Customer Service teams to secure new business
  • Participate in important trade shows and industry functions
  • Manage and enhance relationships with designated distribution accounts
  • Promote business expansion within existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
  • Coordinate with product management for successful product launches and marketing activities
  • Hone communication, presentation, and sales skills continually
  • Utilize SalesForce, HubSpot, ZoomInfo, Teams, Outlook, Onesource, Power BI, and other CRM tools efficiently

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years in inside sales
  • Expected travel of 20-25%
  • Proficiency in SalesForce CRM
