The Sr. Manager of Clinical Education, DSO, North America plays a pivotal role in providing clinical expertise (Surgical & Restorative) to assist Dental professionals with necessary training and educational initiatives throughout Straumann Group USA's Dental Service Organization ("DSO") partners. Specifically, The Sr. Manager of Clinical Education, DSO, North America reports to the Manager of Clinical Affairs & Integrated Workflows, DSO, North America.
Job Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Work collaborative with the DSO NAM team and the Global DSO team on the strategic activities set by the DSO lead team. Activities will mostly be in North America but could involve other countries as well.
- Work collaboratively with the DSO team and commercial territory managers to provide clinical expertise on the operation of the Straumann Group product lines to our DSO partners.
- Provide education to clinicians by multiple means including, but not limited to chair side support, lectures, hands-on workshops, mentorships, planning sessions, troubleshooting sessions, live patient course support and the production of education materials.
- Work with clinicians from different backgrounds and specialties to facilitate the proper use of the Straumann Group products and services. These specialties include but are not limited to: Implantology, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontists, general practice etc.
- Developing training materials including but not limited to: Powerpoint (and other formats) presentation decks, manuals, quick guides, pdfs, brochures, quizzes, surveys etc., to support the continued clinical education and use of Straumann, Neodent, Medentika, ClearCorrect and other products and services from the Straumann Group USA portfolio within the DSO networks.
- Manage and conduct the training of new and existing clinicians in DSO networks.
- Manage the education initiatives and activities related to Straumann Group products and services within DSO networks.
- Working with the Head of Clinical Affairs and Integrated Workflows, DSO, NAM, the Manager of Clinical Affairs and teams to create and manage education offerings for DSO clients, Marketing, Sales and other key functional areas of the company
- Working with the Head of Clinical Affairs & Integrated Workflows, DSO, NAM, the Manager of Clinical Affairs and the team, and the new product development team on the analysis and development of new product needs.
- Meeting with Clinical Advisory Board members to communicate product and solution developments as well as a continuous update on the education programs being offered to their companies.
- Presenting to and educating clinicians and staff, sales representatives and all levels of corporate client personnel, including CABs and C-suite professionals.
- Supports, conducts, and manages the content of internal training initiatives.
- Based on all previous responsibilities and in alignment with the Head of Clinical Affairs & Integrated Workflows, DSO, NAM, the Manager of Clinical Affairs and the team, managing and coordinating all education activities for DSO clients and providing all necessary support for all activities in US and other countries as well as required by the strategic decisions of the Straumann Group NAM DSO lead team.
- Domestic and International travel 75% of the time.
Minimum Qualifications
- DDS, DMD or similar disciplined degree
- 10+ years of experience in clinical practice as a dentist
- 5+ years of experience either placing or restoring dental Implants
- 3+ years of experience in supporting training and education initiatives with experience in at least 1 scientific research (publishing not needed)
- 2+ years of experience working with PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in supporting training and education with at least 1 product line from the Straumann Group
- Experience with video editing software
