Nondestructive Testing Engineer

We are currently seeking a Nondestructive Testing Engineer to supervise our Technicians and serve as a technical resource within Amazon data centers. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges. This role requires both independent contribution as well as the ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an escalation point for safety, security, and facilities-related issues
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to Technicians
  • Communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Work with engineers to develop solutions to complex problems
  • Oversee projects and provide solutions for facility issues

Physical Requirements:

  • Walk job sites in uneven terrain
  • Work at heights and from ladders
  • Regularly lift and/or move heavy objects
  • Coordinate body movements when using tools
  • Bend, twist, reach, and stretch while working
  • Perform physical tasks without becoming overly tired
  • Work in noisy environments and at depths

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical Degree
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience (electrical or mechanical industry)
  • 2+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in Non-Destructive Testing
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Hold a certification in Non-Destructive Testing
  • Ability to recognize safety concerns and maintain a safe work environment
  • Strong project management, communication, and relationship management skills
