Job Title: Power Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Engineer to join our team at Havis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-power conversion products for various vehicle segments.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new power conversion products
  • Provide technical support for legacy products
  • Design and develop hardware specifications, circuit designs, and theories of operation
  • Work with PCB and Mechanical Engineers to optimize product and power stage designs
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers to define power stage controls and protection strategies
  • Interact with Product Development Engineers to review test results and resolve non-compliance issues
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience designing high-frequency, high-power electronic power conversion products
  • Experience with resonant conversion and soft-switched topologies
  • Experience designing high-frequency custom magnetics
  • Proficiency in circuit simulation and thermal calculations
  • Effective communication skills for interfacing with all engineering disciplines
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with high-voltage (700V-2kV) and high-current (10A-600A) products
  • Familiarity with applicable industry standards (SAE, ISO, UL, etc)
  • Familiarity with mobile industrial markets related to hybrid, BEV, and FCEV vehicles
