We are seeking a(an) PBX Operator for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

*1. Promptly answers all incoming and assist in placing out-going calls.

*2. Responds to code phone or code wall panel alarms which takes priority over any calls except the fire alarm, making sure that appropriate personnel are notified.

*3. Monitors fire panel alarms and phones where applicable, contacting the fire department and appropriate personnel when needed.

*4. Pages on Telepage for authorized personnel, physicians and emergency calls.

5. Places and processes long distance and Watts Line Calls for various departments and doctors offices.

*6. Assists patient rooms by advising how to place local and long distance calls and assisting extensions in determining proper billing in getting outside lines.

7. Covers information calls whenever necessary.

*8. Keep current files on daily PBX operations.

9. Overhead pages appropriate personnel.

10. Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE

Required - 2 years switchboard experience.

Preferred -Experience operator with at least 5 years of experience.

EDUCATION

Required - High school graduate.

Preferred -Graduate with previous switchboard experience. Medical terminology a plus.

Hours:
Full time - evening shift
