Provides ongoing education, training and support to physicians, licensed independent providers such as mid level practitioners and others in hospital IS systems including, but not limited to: Azyxxi (Amalga), McKesson (MRDI), Clinician Portal, Centricity and the MedConnect. Advocates for physicians to identify, correct or remove challenges that prevent the ability to provide, access or review clinical data to serve patients' needs. Builds and maintains relationships with physicians / physician practices (employed and community) to enhance the utilization of the hospital and other services. #LI-Hybrid
EducationBachelor's degree in Nursing, Computer Science, Informatics or related field Required Experience1-2 years of systems support responsibility, especially end user support, in a healthcare system or department Preferred 1-2 years related experience in healthcare or patient and physician relations Required Licenses and CertificationsRN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Preferred or Specialty certification in informatics Preferred Serves as primary point of contact for physicians and licensed independent providers such as mid level practitioners and others with implementation of clinical systems. Serves as internal resource to provide ongoing training and support of clinical systems including, but not limited to Azyxxi (Amalga), McKesson (MRDI), Clinician Portal, Centricity and the Med-Connect project.Works closely with MedStar Corporate Information Services and cross-organizational teams on the implementation and evaluation of clinical systems. Serves as a resource between hospital-based workgroup and MedStar Corporate Information Services team for physician implementation and support.Participates in strategic planning, workflow redesign; oversees development and ongoing maintenance of current and future clinical application systems from the physician's perspective.Documents procedures, systems and programs according to information systems standards to provide systems direction for the division.Analyzes and investigates system methods and procedures related to assigned projects. Recommends modifications to improve the system and/or resolve the problem.Surveys users on a regular basis for feedback related to other clinical systems.Participates in and supports division and/or hospital-wide initiatives including evidenced-based practice and outcomes research.Staffs physician oriented meetings and promotional events at WHC - including Professional Staff Meetings, MAGIS, Doctors' Week, etcTriages and reports physician inquiries and issues to appropriate parties.Fulfills special projects and activities at the request of the CMO or designee, to include problem solving, data collection, trend and statistical analyses.Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area.
