Head of Adult Social Care & Occupational Therapy
We are working with a local authority who are looking for a Head of Adult Social Care & Occupational Therapy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the council's Adult Social Care Teams in accordance with the Council's Vision and Values, policy and other objectives. This role aims to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency.
Location: Southwest based Local Authority
Set-up: Remote
Rate: £550 per day via umbrella, inside IR35
Duration: 4-month contract
Hours: Full-time position
Purpose of the job
- Lead and manage the council's Adult Social Care and Occupational Therapy Teams
- Develop services and performance targets
- Ensure governance and safeguarding standards
Responsibilities include:
- Take a professional strategic and operational lead for social care
- Lead, develop and ensure efficient use of resources
- Ensure compliance with Care Act and safeguarding standards
- Influence strategic decision-making
- Manage and develop effective team working
- Collaborate with various teams and organizations
Requirements:
- Certificate of Qualification in Social Work
- Professional Registration (Social Worker)
- Relevant Post Qualification Training
- Resilient and able to manage diverse demands
- Expert knowledge in social care field
- Excellent communication skills
