Position Summary


The Social Media Specialist plays a critical role in the creative and content ideation, strategic content planning/development, post scheduling, and daily monitoring of ETS-owned social media accounts.

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for flawlessly executing innovative organic and paid social media campaigns in support of ETS marketing initiatives and events, while continuously providing recommendations to optimize content performance through data-backed insights.


Skilled at working with cross-functional teams and external partners, the Social Media Specialist collaborates with colleagues on developing content that will generate increased awareness of ETS amongst existing and target B2B audiences.

This position reports to the Director of Social Media on the Corporate Brand and Marketing Excellence team.

Responsibilities

  • Creates and manages content calendar for ETSowned social media accounts
  • Uses insights gleaned from social listening to inform/optimize content development and interaction with follower communities
  • Implements sound tactics that increase audience engagement and followers across all ETS social media accounts
  • Ensures brand consistency, tone, and voice across all ETS social channels
  • Stays uptodate on emerging digital marketing trends, platform tools, and best practices
  • Gains solid understanding of ETS brand positioning, consumer and customer insights, products, and other relevant information to ensure effective marketing campaign initiatives
  • Executes with excellence: delivers projects on time, on budget, and errorfree
  • Daily social media monitoring and engagement with ETS follower communities
  • Observe social media landscape to determine ad hoc content opportunities that will place ETS in trending social conversations
  • Provides weekly social reporting to keep key stakeholders aware of performance insights, trends, and opportunities
  • Effectively solicits and incorporates views of brand stakeholders
  • Provides backup support for others on social media team
  • Adheres to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to the job function
Education

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred. or the equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired is necessary.
Experience

  • 24 years of writing and editing experience in an agency or corporate environment.
  • Minimum two years of handson experience using major social media platforms (Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok) in a professional setting.
  • Experience using social media planning and analytics tools (e.g. Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Meltwater, Khoros, Brandwatch, etc.)
  • Experience developing, executing, and managing paid social media campaigns across platforms.
  • Ability to create, interpret and present social media performance results across a variety of stakeholder audiences.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced content creation and editing skills, including writing for various audiences and social media platforms.
  • Experience setting and measuring performance against content and channel KPIs.
  • Creative thinker with strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to work well independently and with teams, in a fastpaced environment.
  • Adept at managing multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with crossfunctional and global teams.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO, and web analytics.
  • Creative asset development experience a plus, including across video, Photoshop, Adobe, Canva, etc.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent aptitude for detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
