Scientist, Platform Biology

Join us in revolutionizing disease understanding and treatment by teaching generative AI the language of biology. As a scientist, you will work closely with the CTO to build the core biological assays platform, generating validation data for the AI models and the new therapies.
You will design and build novel high-throughput assays using different modalities and goals, leading our wet lab capabilities
You will combine your wet-lab masterful skills and your dry-lab bioinformatics prowess
Your work will directly impact the discovery of breakthrough medicines and expand the capacity of the company's pioneering AI platform
As the center of biology expertise in the company, you will work closely with clinical and data science teams to develop a new category of therapies. Enjoy ownership of the in-vitro platform and see how your assays translate to therapies in months, not years.
Who We're Looking For
You have a Masters or PhD in Systems Biology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field and 2 years of industry experience or 4 years of research experience.
You have experience in high-throughput experiments and robotics, designing experiments and programming lab automation tools, and knowledge of culturing methods and quantitative functional assays.
You have excellent coding skills. You are fluent in Python and the Python data science ecosystem (pandas, numpy, and data visualization toolkits).
You have a good understanding of bioinformatics methods and can build customized bioinformatics pipelines.
You have wet lab experience and a hacker mindset, with a passion for building things and finding creative solutions to complex problems.
You exhibit a proactive approach to problem-solving, thinking beyond the specific task, taking ownership of challenges, and pride in solving them
You have a mature mindset in ambiguous situations, helping to frame questions and seek clarity while making decisions in the face of uncertainty
You are a clear and concise communicator, conveying information effectively in written and verbal communication, and enjoy collaborating with and guiding colleagues in a multidisciplinary team
You are motivated by making a real impact and are committed to tackling problems of significant consequence with determination and creativity
Bonus points:
Applied and received NIH/NSF grants and have strong scientific writing skills
Experience in studying multi-organism interactions or complex ecosystems
