About This Role:

This position provides support services to our Medical Clinic and Counseling & Psychological Services.

Answers incoming phone calls utilizing good telephone communication skills and knowledge of Health Center policies and procedures. Registers patients confirming eligibility and including collecting correct billing information and insurance. Schedules appointments to include follow-ups.

Coordinates all referrals for Medical Clinic including acquiring pre-authorizations with insurance and making those appointments with outside entities.

Release of medical record information as needed following all legal guidelines including FERPA and HIPAA. Logs all transactions in computer and in the appropriate medical record.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • One year of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three years of relevant experience
  • Have coding skills
  • Understand FERPA/HIPAA laws
  • Basic medical insurance understanding.

Other Requirements:

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment.
